The Médoc is “the most famous red wine district in Bordeaux, and possibly the world,” writes Master of Wine Jancis Robinson. And this fabled region experienced a banner year in 2018, “an exceptional vintage” that produced “wonderful wines with a beautiful depth of ripe fruit and polished, strong tannins” (expert James Suckling).

The Peyruse family have crafted wine in Médoc since 1918, and we’re proud to bring you their flagship wine from Château Cerestin La Lande. It’s a classic marriage of Cabernet Sauvignon (the Médoc’s star red) and Merlot. When the Peyruse family saw the quality of the grapes, they decided to leave the wine unoaked to allow its pure fruit flavors to shine.

Look forward to ripe plum, black currant, and subtle licorice aromas. Elegant and balanced, the palate offers more vibrant, black-fruit flavors, plus firm tannins and a long, smooth finish. A delicious partner for roasted meats or hearty stews like traditional boeuf bourguignon.

This wine truly checks all the boxes: historic family estate, fabled region, excellent vintage, great quality, and friendly price. Order your share before we run out.
