When Spanish missionaries came to California, starting back in 1769, they brought and \u003cb\u003eplanted California’s first \u003ci\u003eVitis vinifera\u003c\/i\u003e (European wine grape) vines.\u003c\/b\u003e They began making wine for Holy Communion and personal enjoyment, and the rest, as they say, is delicious history.\u003c\/p\u003e\n  \n\u003cp\u003eLook forward to inviting notes of ripe black fruit, accented by hints of cocoa, vanilla and baking spices.
