Specialized and competent staff are in place to monitor and administer the importation of products, federal and state compliance issues, licensing and distributor alliances, and financial accounting.

Product Sourcing ...
Over two decades have been spent developing European and Domestic sources of fine wines and spirits.
Annual Trips ... Each year, our buying team travel to many foreign as well as domestic locations, tasting and selecting wines for various programs.
Events ... Attendance at the major wine expositions, inclucing Vinexpo in Bordeaux, and Vinitaly in Verona.
Exclusivity ... Activities are aimed at securing exclusive labels that can be distributed nationwide without any restrictions.

Product Management / Compliance
The most complex department which covers total management of products from supplier to retail.

Product Manager ... Overall responsibility for executing the product plan of the various programs and for monitoring inventory.

Compliance / Federal ... Responsible for obtaining federal label approval and coordinating the necessary documents for state registration.
State Approval ... Responsible for filing state registration and posting.
Importation / Transportation ... Responsible for issuing purchase orders and coordinating shipments of products from suppliers as well as domestic shipments to wholesale/retail accounts.
FDA ... Registration of all imported products to comply with 2004 Federal guidelines for bioterrorism.

Licensing and Operations
This department manages all of the legal issues for licensing issues as well as legal distribution network partners.

Operations Manager ... Manages distributor relationships with network wholesalers and retailers.

Licensing ... Liaison with various state licensing agencies to maintain proper authorization for Lionstone. Maintainence of more than 60 licenses covering federal import permits, non-resident dealer licenses, and direct shipping permits under its winery license.

Financial and Accounting
Handling the sensitive and complex financial relationships of the network, this department is also responsible for all taxation issues.

Financial Manager ... Coordinates all financial responsibilities. Maintains budgets, bank reconcilitations, tax reports, and quarterly financial statements.companies and contractual partnerships.

A/P Clerk ... Handle A/P and A/R as well as general office administrative needs.
Human Resources ... Payroll, insurance and profit sharing.
A/R Clerk ... Invoicing wholesale / retail accounts.
Gallonage ... Submits monthly excise tax calculations and reports to various state authorities.
